Statement about Mac OS X |
|
As you're probably aware, Apple released Mac OS X on the 24th of March 2001. Scotland Software is very excited about Mac OS X, and the opportunities it offers to software developers. (Yes, we really get excited about things like that.) Development has already begun on new products for Mac OS X, and updating existing products for OS X compatibility. We're fully committed to supporting Apple's revolutionary new operating system. We plan to continue to make products available for regular Mac OS in addition to Mac OS X, but our primary focus will be fully native (Cocoa) Mac OS X applications. Whenever viable, current applications will be rewritten for the Cocoa application environment, to take advantage of Cocoa's advanced features. Naturally, we're available for Mac OS X development projects. See the Services section of the site for details. If you're running Mac OS X and would be interested in beta-testing future products, or if you have any general questions about our Mac OS X plans, please contact us. Please also get in touch if you want to request that a specific product be ported to Mac OS X. Thanks! |
